Meet Gillian

Meet the Couple

Gillian grew up in the small village of Balloch about 5 miles from Inverness attending Balloch Primary School and then Culloden Academy where she was head girl. Upon leaving Culloden Academy, Gillian attended the University of Aberdeen studying Accountancy and Finance. Despite Gillian and Fraser being in the city, Aberdeen was not the place where they would meet!

After graduating from university Gillian started working for Ernst & Young and training to become a Chartered Accountant. In 2012, Gillian and Fraser began discussions of moving to the US and in July 2013 Gillian transferred with EY to the Houston office where she eagerly awaits Fraser joining her.

Fraser grew up in the seaside town of Arbroath attending Ladyloan Primary School and then Arbroath High School. After failing all of his exams, Fraser’s mum dragged him to college to sort his life out where he started his career in engineering! After completing his college course, Fraser began his four year apprenticeship at GlaxoSmithKline.

Fraser then took the next step in his career by moving to Aberdeen to start work in the oil and gas industry, where he continues to work for FMC Technologies offshore in the North Sea. Fraser is currently working on a transfer to join Gillian in Houston.
